Puppethead (Photography and other things)

When I was very young my mother gave me a book of Gordon Parks’ work as a photographer. The images in that book have stuck with me, and I’ve always had a keen interest in photography.

It wasn’t until the age of the digital camera that I began to explore that interest. I still have the Kodak DC40 I bought in 1995, recognizing that a new artistic medium was emerging.

Now, with my DSLR, I shoot as often as I can. I consider myself an enthusiast and hobbyist, with a lot to learn still. I’ve learned a lot from looking at others’ photos and I like the idea of sharing the unique, interesting and mundane things I see around my life.

Photography has captured my spirit

The other things I do involve technology, particularly software development.
